I have bought 3 silicone-glued aquariums for breeding purposes, as they are a bit easier to clean when they do not have edges like regular aluminum aquariums or those with plastic edges.
Equipment
As a filter, I have a small air-driven internal filter and the aquarium is heated by a 25W heater. The lighting is a homemade fixture with an 8W mini fluorescent tube from Harald Nyborg mounted above. The light is controlled by the same weekly timer that controls my other aquariums.
Interior
The aquarium has no substrate and the only "decoration" is a micro wood root.
Planting
When I used this aquarium, I only had floating plants in it. I have used Java Moss and Hornwort. The advantage of floating plants is that they are easy to move when you need to catch the fish, while simultaneously providing some protection for eggs and fry if the parents are not removed quickly enough.
Usage
I use the aquarium for various breeding attempts and temporary experiments. I do not have this aquarium in operation permanently, only when I am conducting breeding attempts or when I lack space. At the moment, it is not in use.
